In the first match of group B, celebrated on the diamond Torre Roja in Viladecans, Germany defeated Sweden with 1-9, in a game that was dominated by the Germans from beginning to end although their scores didn’t arrive until the 4th inning. The German team achieved 10 good hits making 2 errors while the Swedish team hit the ball on 7 occations and made 2 errors. Germany’s starting pitcher, Enorbel Marquez, made a good job to win over his rival on the mount, Christian Staehely.
