Netherlands didn’t allow for any hope and, as usual, did not let go of the defense against the Czech Republic, defeating the team without necessity to finish the whole match, sentencing it, in the 7th inning, at 11 to 0. In the 1st inning of the match the Dutch team had an advantage of 7 runs to none, a scoreboard that, in the 6th inning, showed what would, finally, be the result: 11-0, after 4 scores. Shairon Martis was the winning pitcher with 8 strike-out and allowing only 2 hits. Jiri Marek was the loser. In a match that didn’t have much of a story and even less emotion to it two Dutch players should be mentioned: Raily Legito, with 4 hits, a double, 3 batted-in runs and 1 home run and Hainley Statia, who sentenced the match with 2 hits, 3 batted-ins and home run. |
