France confirms its leadership in the top Group B The French team confirmed its condition as leader of Group B defeating Ukraine by 6-2 in the European Baseball Championship that was played in Sant Boi’s Baseball Stadium. The French starting pitcher, Maxime Leblanc, won after throwing six innings. Ukraine opened the scoreboard with a run upon the first turn at bat but France soon moved forward with 2 scores in the 3rd inning when Sebastien Herve did a great job in the squad as double RBI. The first 6 innings of the match were a great duel between the pitchers Leblanc and the starting Ukrainian, Ihor Litvinchuk. However, France sentenced the match with 4 runs in the 7th inning. French 3rd base, David Meurant, made a home run and other attackers to mention were Florian Peyrichou and Joris Bert. |
