Spain achieved a brilliant victory over France, (6-2) in the 6th round of the European Baseball Championship, in a fascinating match that the Spanish team sentenced in the 7th inning. This allows the team to qualify for the final round as 2nd in Group B,

The victory over France is very important for Spain, as it allows the Spanish selection to enter the final league that will be played between the 3 best teams of each group.

In the 7th inning, the Spanish team, when the scoreboard showed a draw: 2-2, Juan García went on the box and made a hit that allowed him to reach 1st base.

Nestor Pérez connected 1 hit reaching 1st base and making Juan García get to the 2nd.

With a man on 1st and 2nd base and none out, the perspectives were very good for Spain, that, with a new hit, by the first batter, Daniel Figueroa, allowed for 2 scores (4-2).

Daniel Martínez did his part of the job and allowed for a 3rd entry in home that left the scoreboard at 5 to 2. A “step-and-run” by Daniel Freire, in the 8th inning made the Spanish triumph final

Eric González stayed on the mound during the whole match and was the winning pitcher.
