Netherlands 18 - France 0

FINAL ROUND

Netherlands keeps on towards the European Baseball Championship, with an expected supremacy, as not only today’s victory, against France, shows, by 18 to 0, but out of 6 played matches they have killed 5 by difference, before the limit of 9 innings.

The Dutch team finished off the French in only 7 innings, just wat they needed to defeat the Czech Republic, (11-0), Sweden (14-2) and Croatia (0-13) while Austria only resisted 5 (0-22). For the moment being, only Germany, defeated by 6-3, managed to finish the 9 innings.

The batting power of Netherlands started to work in the 3rd inning when, with the scoreboard showing 1-0, Yurendell de Caster started to increase the score, sending Hainley Statia to home. That was the 2-0 that Sharnol Adriana took care of, sending the ball behind the fence, scoring 4-0.

In the 4th inning things became productive for the champions that scored 9 runs. This meant 9-0 and the French discouragement was obvious as most of their batters were lost between the box and 1st base.

The 5th and 4th innings were the final killing, scoring 9, like in the first 4 ones. The 18-0, which the scoreboard finally showed in the beginning of the 7th inning, was impossible to beat by France and the match ended.

Netherlands advances firmly towards its 20th title, 5th consecutive, with the permission of Spain that are now direct rivals that the Dutch team will meet during the last 2 days of the championship
